Saturday Night Fever is the musical that takes you straight back to the vibrant nightlife of the 70s - with a soundtrack that makes it almost impossible to sit still! We're about to enter the world of Tony Manero, where every Saturday night is an escape from everyday life and a chance to shine on the dance floor. With legendary hits like "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever", this show lifts the roof with energy, dreams and raw dancing joy!
The musical is based on the iconic 1977 film of the same name, starring John Travolta and Karen Lynn Gorney. We follow Tony Manero, a young man from Brooklyn who dreams of getting out of his boring life, with its dead-end job and twisted family dynamics. Every Saturday night, he transforms himself into the king of the dance floor at the local disco. Dancing and music give him the sense of freedom he craves. When he meets Stephanie Mangano, an ambitious woman with her own dreams of getting out of the neighborhood, they team up to compete in a major dance competition. The show explores Tony's struggles with identity, love, class differences and dreams - all wrapped up in a colorful and energetic disco world, and the legendary Bee Gees soundtrack.
After his success as "Danny" in Grease in the spring of 2024, Atle Pettersen returns to Kilden in another iconic John Travolta role. This time he is on stage as "Tony Manero" i Saturday Night Fever.
