Henrik Rafaelsen is from Kristiansand and studied at Teaterhögskolan in Stockholm 94-98.

He worked at Stockholm Stadsteater 98-2005, The Norwegian Theatre 2005-2006, and Nationaltheateret from 2006 until he joined Kilden in 2020. Henrik has played Brand and Hamlet in Fjæreheia in 2006 and 2008. He has appeared in some thirty Norwegian and Swedish films and TV series. He won the Best Actor award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival for More or Less Man and the Amanda Award for Best Actor for Sickly Happy. He also received the Kanon Award and Amanda nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Thelma, a Guldbagge nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Young Astrid and the Critics' Award for Peer Gynt in 2005.

Henrik har medvirket i en rekke produksjoner ved Kilden Teater siden han ble ansatt i 2020, og blir i 2026 å se i Påske, Kilden og Fra krakk til kamp!
