About Kilden
Kilden performing arts centre the region’s hub for music, performing arts, and cultural experiences. Here, you’ll find the programming departments of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, Kilden , Kilden , and Kilden brought together under one umbrella organization.
Our distinctive character lies in the dynamic interplay between different art forms, across genres and disciplines, within a large community. Through our initiative Kilden , we also combine cultural activities with social engagement.
Every year, we stage 900 performances, concerts, and events, which together attract over 200,000 audience members both in our own venues and on tour throughout Agder.
Our approximately 240 employees are the heart of Kilden. With 60 different professional groups and 27 nationalities, we represent a diverse range of expertise, perspectives, and experiences. Together, we work in accordance with our values of quality, inclusivity, courage, and commitment, guided by a shared vision: to touch people’s lives and enrich society.

Since its inception, Kilden has produced and delivered art experiences to a large and enthusiastic audience. Around 200,000 people visit the building every year, which has four auditoriums with seating for 2,270 people.

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future. Sustainability is a recurring principle in Kilden's strategy for the period 2021-2025 and has for several years been an integral part of both stage production, operations and decision-making processes.
