Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra

Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (KSO) is one of Norway's eight professional symphony orchestras and consists of 67 full-time musicians. KSO is a young and vital ensemble in strong development and has employees from 17 different nations. Chief conductor from 2023 is Julian Rachlin, who was previously guest conductor. He took over from Nathalie Stutzmann after four years on the podium. Prior to that, the KSO had the honor of having Giordano Bellincampi as chief conductor from 2013. Bellincampi was officially appointed honorary conductor of the orchestra in January 2020.

KSO to Musikverein in Vienna

Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (KSO) is one of the few orchestras confirmed for the highly acclaimed Herbstgold Festival in Austria in September. It is now also clear that the orchestra will give a concert at the Musikverein in Vienna on the same trip.
