The young Armenian pianist Eva Gevorgyan is predicted to have a brilliant career. On her first visit to Kilden , she performs Frédéric Chopin's virtuoso and charming 1st Piano Concerto.
Jean Sibelius' 1st Symphony was completed in 1899, when the composer was 33 years old. The sumptuous, soaring melodies led some to trace inspiration from Tchaikovsky, but there was no doubt that a new great symphonist had presented himself.
The renowned conductor George Pehlivanian, one of Julian Rachlin's mentors, is also visiting southern Norway for the first time.
