Jonas Fjeld recently announced that he will retire as a touring musician after 2026. He's entertained us for more than 50 years, created some of Norway's national anthems, and made us laugh, cry and think with his songs and his unique ability to communicate. But everything has an end, even for Jonas Fjeld. Now the time has come to put his bag down after a life in the service of music. But first there will be a final round.

Jonas Fjeld is an artist who, thanks to his long career, is more versatile than many others can dream of being. He started out as a juggling rocker in the wild Jonas Fjeld Rock 'n' Rolf Band, continued with serious funk recorded in the USA, made a country record in Nashville, collaborated with countless Norwegian artists on record (Hilde Heltberg, Lillebjørn Nilsen, Randi Hansen, Ivar Medaas, Øystein Sunde etc.), made a comeback as a solo artist with country-inspired folk rock, played American folk music with Rick Danko from The Band and Eric Andersen, collaborated with viceroy Ole Paus and rock poet Henning Kvitnes, plunged into bluegrass with Chatham County Line, and went to the top with the legendary Judy Collins. Not to mention the Jonas Fjeld Band, which was a leader in Norwegian rock in the 80s with two Spellemann awards. This underscores the fact that Jonas Fjeld is an artist out of the ordinary - not only in a Norwegian, but also an international context.

Now he's approaching the finish line, and it's time to celebrate. Because even though this will be his last round, there's no question of hanging his head and saying goodbye. On the contrary - at these concerts, Jonas Fjeld will emerge as the artist he really is: An artist who loves his audience, who loves to perform, and who knows how to enjoy the moment. Every concert on this tour will be a party. But bring a handkerchief, just in case. Because if there's one thing Jonas Fjeld really knows how to do, it's bring out the emotions in us. There's no one like him. THAT should be celebrated.
