SeniorKilden presents: War and everyday life in Kristiansand in 1941
By and with Knut Mæsel
The war year 1941 started with polar cold.
Then there was a fire in Klubben, followed somewhat later by a major fire in Havnekvarteret, caused by sabotage.
Then Kjevik airport was subjected to a violent air raid.
Our city was shaken by several war episodes in the first half of 1941.
But the picture was not all black. There were also smiles in everyday life.
