På sitt nye album, lar Sivert tristessen blomstre på vakrest mulig vis, og på nyåret tar han med seg sitt eminente band og legger ut på veien. 2.mars kommer han til Kilden teater og konserthus og Kristiansand.
The single The Rust is the starting point for the upcoming album On an Island, which is expected on January 26, 2024. The album, which was recorded in the old parish hall Zoar in Nyksund, opens a new chapter in Høyem's career, which in recent years has once again been about one of the country's biggest and most acclaimed bands, Madrugada.
The idea was to do something "simple and stripped down" with engineer Bjarne Stensli. In spectacular surroundings, in what was once Vesterålen's second largest fishing village, the album "On an Island" was created. The music is timeless, immediate and raw, just like Vesterålen in September, when the nights are long and cold.
The whole thing was recorded in a makeshift studio over the course of 14 hectic days, usually as a trio with Sivert, co-producer Christer Knutsen and drummer Børge Fjordheim, who also joins him on the road.
