Welcome to an author meeting with Gudmund Vindsun and a reading of his queer classic Villskudd!
Kilden Teater presents a staged reading with excerpts from the groundbreaking and rebellious novel Villskudd from 1979. Here we meet Yngve, who grows up as a gay man in the 1960s, the last decade in which sex between men is still a criminal offense in Norway. We follow him through friendships, boyfriends, conflicts with family and religion, encounters with addiction, admission to a psychiatric clinic and political movements. It's a story about a young man in the throes of the struggle to be who he is. At the same time, the novel is filled with joy, young love, nature, ecstasy and lots of humor.
On September 30, 2022, we'll be setting the table in Kilden's Frihavn restaurant. A special menu will be served with hot food and drinks. There will be a reading from the novel with Kilden Theater's actors, an interview with the author himself Gudmund Vindsun and the young author Atle Håland from Vatnestrøm.
Dinner is included in the price.
Venison stew with homemade mashed potatoes and scrambled cranberries.
Vegetarian option with seasonal vegetables.
