TEAM BACHSTAD ON TOUR
Since 2011, the popular duo Øystein Bache and Rune Gokstad have taken TV viewers on a series of journeys around the world - always in an unconventional way. Nine seasons have so far aired on NRK1.
This fall, they're heading out into the world to record a new season that will be on TV this winter!
Now the audience has the opportunity to experience Team Bachstad "live"! In collaboration with NRK, you are invited to a talk show where the audience joins an hour and a half long journey in real life, with humor, film clips and stories that were not included in the programs!
Their nine seasons on NRK started with a journey in a vintage fire engine to Mongolia. In season two, they crossed India in an auto rickshaw. Then a crossing of the South American continent awaited in a well-used second-hand vehicle!
In season four, they embarked on a trip from the south to the north of Finland in two tiny vans. The fifth season was spent in Indochina in a decommissioned Land Cruiser that the Norwegian Armed Forces were going to give to Norwegian People's Aid in Cambodia.
Season six they headed east. In a 34-foot motorboat, they sailed on rivers from St. Petersburg through Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and across the Black Sea to Istanbul. Also in season seven, they traveled in the wet element when they visited a number of islands in the Caribbean.
Corona put an end to traveling abroad in 2020 - the solution was to travel the length of Norway in an electric mail truck. The last season for the time being started in Portugal and was to end in Vladivostok in the far east of Russia - shortly after departure, the crisis started in Ukraine and the itinerary had to be abruptly changed...
In September, Team Bachstad will travel to Japan to film a new season of the popular TV series!
