Audition for the play SMALL TALK

Kilden is hiring a man of thea 50–70 who would like to participate in the theater performance Small Talk – Ring in the holidays with the Dvergsnes family. No acting experience is necessary—just time, enthusiasm, and commitment.

About the performance

Small Talk – Ring in Christmas with the Dvergsnes Family is a Christmas play based on the short film Small Talk by Kristiansand native Even Hafnor. In 2022, it was staged for the first time as a theater production at Kilden great acclaim from both audiences and critics. The filmmaker himself served as the theater director, and the cast consisted of a mix of Kilden’s regular actors and actors from the film, as well as some actors we found through an open call just like this one. Now we’re looking forward to doing it all over again!

This time, we’re looking for someone to play the role of Uncle Bengt. The character delivers lines on stage, but much of the action revolves around“smalltalk.” Watch a clip from the short film at the bottom of this article.

Character: Bengt Dvergsnes
Gender: Male 
Age: approx. 55–65 
Qualifications: Time, enthusiasm, and good health to participate in the project. No acting experience necessary. 
Dialect: Kristiansand dialect preferred 

Application

The search engine must be accessible from October 13October through DecemberDecember. Rehearsal and performance times will vary between daytime and evening hours. This is a paid position.
