Projects and Initiatives

The Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra holds monthly concerts in the psychiatric wards at Sørlandet Hospital, giving patients the opportunity to experience the power of music right where they are receiving treatment.

Young people facing mental health challenges are writing new lyrics for the choral movements of a requiem. The work will be performed by students from a selection of high schools, alongside professional soloists and the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.

Sparebanken Sør has provided funding so that we can carry out the program we have named “From Lullabies to Hymns at the End of the Journey.”

SPOR is performing arts focused on participation, empowerment, and inclusion. Around 80 young people, with and without disabilities, share the stage with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra in a large-scale production with a professional production team.

Kilden is engaged in extensive outreach work. We place particular emphasis on the field of collaborative performing arts and on the connection between culture, health, and living conditions. Kilden is the only arts center in Norway to have Kilden own research Kilden , Eva Mari Andreasen.

Children, young people, students, and amateur musicians of all ages will have the opportunity to share the stage with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra

The Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra will perform the piece, composed by talented school students from Agder and Telemark.

Specially tailored events designed to accommodate adults, children, and families who may find it challenging to participate in standard concert and theater experiences.

By collecting funds, instruments, and equipment, the program aims to give children in economically underdeveloped communities the opportunity to experience and explore music.

Provide students with challenges and opportunities for growth within a professional arts and culture environment, while allowing them to get to know other young people who share their interests.

UngdomsKilden our very own theater immersion program for young people aged 13 to 19.

Sølvstrupene is Kilden’s senior choir, comprising 150 male and female voices. The choir was founded when Kilden in 2012 and has since participated in both concerts and performances.

The Gullstrupene Dementia Choir is a program for people with dementia who live at home.

Baby Sing is a program for parents and children to share the joy of music and singing in a non-denominational setting.
