Kilden (formerly Opera Sør) is a key guardian of the classical opera tradition, but we are also deeply committed to innovation. We believe that viewing old classical operas in a new light does not conflict with being a guardian of tradition. Kilden produces and presents opera in various formats: full-scale operas, opera concerts, musical theater, chamber operas, and guest performances.
