Bellincampi to be named honorary conductor
Giordano Bellincampi, the KSO’s principal conductor from 2013 to 2018, has been named honorary conductor.
- "Bellincampi's time at KSO was characterized by very constructive and consistent work on developing the orchestra's interaction, sound and expressiveness. There was a mutual ambition from orchestra and conductor to create fantastic experiences," says Hans Bodin, Program Director of Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.
Musician Trym Dalene also emphasizes that the collaboration between orchestra and conductor worked very well when he describes his former chief conductor.
- "Bellincampi was the right conductor for us at the right time. He was an orchestra builder who brought us together," says Dalene, who has been able to see all the good artistic development that the orchestra has had.
Giordano Bellincampi is now chief conductor of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand and teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
