Bjørneboe all year round

Many people want to honor Jens Bjørneboe, and Kristiansand Municipality is continuously presenting the program for the anniversary on the Facebook page Bjørneboe 2020.

Bjørneboes plass

  1. January kicks off Bjørneboe 2020 with the opening of Jens Bjørneboe Square, located between the library, the old cathedral school (where Bjørneboe was a student) and the cathedral.

Jonas

The Bjørneboe anniversary begins in Kilden on January 31 with the performance Jonas. There will be a pre-show talk with Bjørneboe's daughter, Therese Bjørneboe, among others.

Bjørneboe on the street

"What one has sinned, all have done", Bjørneboe says in his poem Mea Maxima Culpa. Kilden Teater has invited young people to put their own words to turmoil, joys and sorrows. Based on meetings with the young people and Bjørneboe's poem, Taro Vestøl Cooper writes a script in slam poetry. In May and July, Culpa! will hit the streets of Agder. Because no one owns the street. The street belongs to the youth!

Bjørnebo Days

Kristiansand Kunsthall and Kristiansand Public Library have invited artists to investigate whether Bjørneboe's thoughts on the exercise of power can still be relevant today. During the annual literature festival Bjørneboedagene October 7-9, a group exhibition will be held at Jens Bjørneboes plass.
