Launch ofthe choir songbook

Anne Haugland Balsnes is known to many as the conductor of Sølvstrupene, the UiA Choir, and the Kristiansand Opera Choir, as well as a professor of music at the University of Agder. Together with co-author Dag Jansson, she has now written a book that celebrates the joy of singing together.

This book is a warm, playful, and inspiring guide to being a choir member, filled with short stories, reflections, and relatable moments from choir life. It’s perfect for both those who already sing in a choir and those who’d like to start but haven’t quite dared to take the plunge yet.

At the launch event at Kilden , the public Kilden to a celebration of choral singing. The program will feature sing-alongs with a band, musical performances by the choirs, and readings and discussions with the authors. The evening promises laughter, insight, and a sense of community—just as it should be when people come together to sing.

The event is free and open to everyone.
