Since the Theater Pass was introduced, more and more people have been flocking to the box office at Kilden secure the coveted pass that grants access to all performances at Kilden for an entire year. Mads Hatlevik and Kristin Øygarden, a married couple, gave each other the Theater Pass as a Christmas gift.
The 2025 Theater Pass includes a total of seven performances for just 995 NOK (the price increases to 1,195 NOK on December 1). These are: The Lament, Words, The Count of Monte Cristo, Ghosts, The Ugly Duckling, SMALL TALK – Ring in Christmas with the Dvergsnes Family and The Snow Sister. Read more about the Theater Card
“I’m a sucker for great acting,” says Mads about last year’s Christmas gift. As of this writing, the couple has been theater season ticket holders for 10 months, and with the season coming to a close, it’s time to start looking forward to next year’s theater experiences.

With the Theater Card, you can experience a wide variety of performances, ranging from major classics to brand-new works of performing arts. The couple shares several memorable theater experiences and highlights one play that was particularly special to them;
“Villskudd was a wonderful experience. First, we had a pre-show talk with the author Gudmund Vindsun before watching the performance, which explored themes of representation and queer love,” Mads continues.
– I’m not sure if we would have seen so many different things if it hadn’t been for the theater pass
“For us, it’s the diverse program—whether the productions are big or small, well-known or obscure—that’s the deciding factor. I’m not sure we would have seen such a wide variety of shows if it weren’t for the Theater Card, ” says Mads.
