The Norwegian Ibsen Company will be visiting, Kåre Conradi will perform *Om Peer*, and the National Theater will visit Kristiansand with *Hedda Gabler*. And on stage, the days will conclude with the premiere of *Rosmersholm* on April 30.
Extensive supporting program
“In addition to everything happening on stage, we’re presenting an extensive side program, ranging from lectures on Ibsen to food events. So we hope many people will find something of interest here,” says Daniel Stamnes, director of Kilden .
“An opportunity to do this arose when we realized, by a stroke of luck, that we were scheduled to present several Ibsen productions over the course of a few days in April. So we decided to go all out and simply create an Ibsen festival,” he explains.
Lecture on the Mountain Bird
The supporting program also includes a lecture by director Lars Øyno, who is at Kilden stage *Røde Emma* by Jens Bjørneboe. In 2009, Grusomhetens Teater staged a sensational world premiere of Ibsen’s unfinished romantic opera Fjeldfuglen. Øyno will give a lecture on the work that led up to this production.
“We’re really looking forward to these days, and we’re proud to be able to present such a wide-ranging Ibsen program for children, teens, and adults alike,” says Daniel Stamnes.
