A lonely Christmas tree is looking for presents
The joy of Christmas isn't a given for everyone. Over 2,500 children and young people in Kristiansand live in poverty.
Not all parents are able to buy gifts for their children, and every year, Blå Kors Kristiansand sees a large number of families seeking help.
In December, a solitary Christmas tree will stand on the mezzanine in the lobby ofperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre. Anyone who is able to do so is welcome to stop by and place a gift under the tree. The gifts will be donated to the Blue Cross in Kristiansand and are earmarked for children and young people living in disadvantaged families.
If you are able to contribute, you can do so in the following way:
- Buy a gift and wrap it. Feel free to include a note describing the age group or interests the gift is suitable for.
- Keep in mind that the gift could be something a child wants and has been hoping for. It could very well be an experience!
- Please drop off your Christmas gift under the Christmas tree in the lobby ofperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre December 31.
We hope you’ll join us in helping to make Christmas a little more joyful for some children who need a little extra support.
Merry Christmas!
Best regards,
Kilden and Blue Cross Kristiansand
