The Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra’s traditional National Day concert will be streamed free of charge to the residents of Agder this year, in collaboration with Fædrelandsvennen.

- "We've received a lot of good feedback since we started streaming the concert on May 17. It's important for us to be there for the whole region, and we hope that the festive concert on the national day can provide an extra nice setting for people in Agder," says Kilden Harald Furre.

The concert starts at 14:00 and the program includes Norwegian festive music by Johan Halvorsen, Edvard Grieg, Johan Svendsen and others, as well as a number of songs from Southern Norway. The conductor is Roeland Henkens and the soloist is the highly acclaimed violinist Guro Kleven Hagen. Hans-Christian Vadseth will guide the audience through the concert.

Also for care centers and institutions

In collaboration with Kristiansand KulturRullator, the concert is also streamed to the municipality's care centers and institutions. Several of the municipality's institutions set up large screens for their residents and create a community gathering around the screen.

- It's great to be able to give this experience to those who can't participate physically and to create a joint event that the residents can gather around at the institutions," says Maria Torkildsen, responsible for KulturRullatoren in Kristiansand Municipality.
