Small talk is being made into a movie, again
The play*Small Talk* isa huge hit these days, with sold-out performances throughout its run. Director Even Hafnor is naturally pleased with the reception of the play about the Dvergsnes family, but he also recently received good news from another source: funding from the Norwegian Film Institute to adapt the play into a feature-length film.
From short film to stage play
The play currently running at Kilden first performed for an enthusiastic audience during Christmas 2023 and has been revived at the request of the actors and the audience.
The play is based on the 2015 short film of the same name, which received rave reviews for its offbeat take on a close-knit family from Southern Norway. Now the circle is nearly complete: the short film became a stage play, which is now being adapted into a feature film.
Kilden congratulates director Even Hafnor on receiving the award and wishes him the best of luck as filming begins in February 2026.
