Kilden & Competence Center
Kilden is engaged in extensive outreach work. We place a special focus on the field ofparticipatory performing artsand on the connection betweenculture, health, and living conditions.
Kilden is the only arts center in Norway to have Kilden own research director, Eva Mari Andreasen. She investigates how participation in art and culture can influence people’s well-being and how they cope with life. In her work, she employs qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as systematic reviews.
She completed her entire academic career at the University of Agder (UiA): Bachelor of Nursing (2008), Master’s degree in Clinical Health Sciences (2019), and Ph.D. in Health Sciences (2024). She is a member of the research groupHealth and Quality of Life from a Family Perspective(HEIFA) at UiA, theNordic Arts & Health Research Network, and serves as the contact person for Kilden’s partnership in the thematicEU network DemoS4EU – Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Societies 2025–2028.
As head of research, she helps Kilden a hub for new knowledge and collaboration:
“My goal is for this research to both strengthen Kilden’s own work and contribute to knowledge that can be useful far beyond our organization,” says Eva Mari.
