The Sølvstrupene Senior Choir

Sølvstrupene is Kilden’s senior choir, with 150 members. The choir was founded when Kilden in 2012, and has since then participated in the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra’s May 17 concerts and Kilden’s Christmas production, *The Christmas Gospel*.
In addition, they have given a number of other performances and concerts both at Kilden and elsewhere. In the spring of 2026, the choir performed in Kilden’s concert hall alongside Herborg Kråkevik, and in the fall of 2026, they will give a concert at the same venue with young, up-and-coming musical talents.

Sølvstrupene is led by Anne Haugland Balsnes.

There are no admission requirements for the choir other than being at least 62 years old and enjoying singing. We currently have openings for tenors and basses, but there is a waiting list for sopranos and altos.
