Kilden Ung Vokal med kickoff 16. juni!

- "This is a fantastic opportunity that we're really looking forward to. And it's great that there's room for more singers in the new choir," says Anne Marie Almedal, producer of Kilden Ung Vokal.

She previously led the Agder Youth Choir, which, starting this fall, will welcome music students from the vocal group in the first year of upper secondary school at Vågsbygd Upper Secondary School to the newly founded Kilden Vocal.performing arts centre Kilden performing arts centre the new choir’s permanent home, and Kilden will act as its mentor choir.

New singers welcome

The very first meeting of Kilden Vokal will take place on Monday, June 16, atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre. The event will feature both singing and refreshments, and both new and current singers are welcome to join us at Kilden day.  

- We already have a solid core in the choir, but we're looking forward to the music students from Vågsbygd upper secondary school joining the team over the summer. It's also important for me to emphasize that we'll be welcoming new members from the meeting in Kilden on Monday 16 June," says Almedal.

Start in the fall of 2025 

The first rehearsal after the summer will take place on Tuesday, August 19 at 16:00 - 17:30, and there will be regular rehearsals every other week at the same time, with extra rehearsals ahead of concerts and productions. The program for autumn 2025 will be announced at a later date.

The conductor for Kilden Ung Vokal will be Hanna Balsnes from Søgne in Kristiansand. She has a bachelor's degree in singing and music education from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She is currently taking a master's degree in choral conducting at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark.
