KSO at Byen on December 10, 11, and 12

For the thirteenth time, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (KSO) invites you to concerts in both familiar and unexpected venues throughout Kristiansand—in banks, bakeries, churches, and cafés.

No fewer than 14 free concerts will be open to the public on December 10, 11, and 12. In addition, a number of concerts will be held at hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities throughout the city during those days.

This year, ten different chamber music groups from KSO will be touring our city to spread the joy of music during the hectic pre-Christmas season. Welcome to KSO at Byen 2025.

Wednesday, December 10 

1:00 PM: Søgne og Greipstad Sparebank, Tangvall (String Quartet featuring Daniel, Lene-Marie, Jane, and Anne) 

1:30 p.m.: Kirkens Bymisjon, Gravane (String quartet featuring Katarina, Henriette, Karen, and Mari Marte) 

1:30 PM: Geheb Conditori, Hamresanden (String Quintet featuring Lars, Dorota, Trygve Johan, Wolfram, and Erik)  

2:00 PM: Kilden performing arts centre, Foyer (String quartet and harp performed by Josine, Kari Andrea, Piotr, Jasper, and Johanna)  

Thursday, December 11 

11:00 a.m.: Kristiansand Cathedral (Brass Quintet + Percussion, featuring Jens, Trym, Amanda, Nils Tore, Vidar, and Henning)

11:30 a.m.: University of Agder, Gimlemoen – Vrimlehallen (String quartet and harp performed by Josine, Kari Andrea, Piotr, Jasper, and Johanna) 

11:30 a.m.: Fabriken Artisan Bakverk, Kanalbyen (Violin trio and double bass performed by Maria, Redi, Yuka, and John)

12:00 PM: Blue Cross, Kristiansand (Brass Quintet and Percussion featuring Jens, Trym, Amanda, Nils Tore, Vidar, and Henning)

1:00 PM: City Hall Café (String Quartet featuring Loussine, Svetlana, Ivan, and Krisztina) 

1:30 PM: Kirkens Bymisjon (Woodwind Quartet featuring Anne Randi, Roar, Kari, and Thea)
