Nyttårskonserten 2022 strømmes gratis

We had planned a large-scale New Year's concert with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. Now there will be free streaming of the New Year's concert for everyone instead.

“We hope this will bring a little joy to homes across Southern Norway at the start of the new year,” says Harald Furre, director ofperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre. Although Konsertsalen be empty of audiences, he promises an orchestra brimming with good cheer and energy.

The concert will be broadcast on Kristiansand Symfoniorkester's YouTube channel, fvn.no and Agderposten, Friday January 7 at 19:30.

Most in demand

The concert was originally supposed to be performed in front of a live audience, but Furre believes that the latest lockdown makes it even more important to share the concert with a wider audience. That is why it has been decided to stream the concert for free to all residents of the region.

– The New Year’s concert at Kilden traditionally one of the most sought-after events of the year for us. That’s why it feels important and right to be able to do this now, he says.

Seasoned soloists

Two of our most prominent and internationally renowned singers, Mari Eriksmoen and Audun Iversen, offer favorites from opera, operetta and musicals.

Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra contributes with classical orchestra favorites under the direction of conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen. The emcee is actor Bartek Kaminski.
