Brynjar Onsøien
Brynjar Onsøien is a bass singer with Kilden . He grew up in Tromsø, lives in Oslo, and studied at the Barratt Due Music Institute. As a freelancer, he has worked with a number of professional choirs and ensembles in Norway, including the Norwegian Opera & Ballet, and has participated in concerts, theater productions, and stage performances at venues such as Kilden performing arts centre.
Musically, ensemble playing, sound, and camaraderie are central to Brynjar, and he greatly values the close collaboration that develops within a permanent ensemble. Although he has broad musical tastes, he can’t quite shake his upbringing as a dedicated metalhead—a genre he has remained faithful to for over 20 years.
Among his dream collaborators is Frank Zappa, and Brynjar would love to see him put together a spectacular concert featuring a choir, a band, and an orchestra.
When he’s not traveling or performing on stage, you’ll often find him in the kitchen, where cooking is a great passion of his.
