Charlotte Wilhelmsen
Charlotte Wilhelmsen is a soprano from Vestfold who has since made southern Norway her home and is now thriving as the first alto in KVE. She has a strong connection to classical music when she sings, but she enjoys letting jazz fill the room when she wants to relax. As a vocal coach, she also works extensively with musical theater and pop repertoire.
Charlotte studied music in Stavanger at the Department of Fine Arts, as well as at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has always been a choir person and finds great joy in the interaction and sound that arise when making music together. At KVE, she particularly appreciates the strong sense of community, the exciting repertoire, and the opportunity to continually develop her skills at a high level.
Her dream is to one day sing jazz ballads in an intimate club setting, preferably alongside one of the great jazz pianists. Charlotte draws energy from simple, nature-inspired things—long walks along the coast, lazy days on warm rocky shores, ski trips in the mountains, and good books on sunny days.
