Gabriela Melo Larsen

Gabriela Melo Larsen is a trained set and costume designer from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and holds a master’s degree in fine arts from UiA.

She has worked on various productions in Norway and abroad. Among other things, she has served as set and costume designer for the productions*Villa Contigo*,*I Am Lucia*, and*Me and Grandma*atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre, and as set designer for*An Enemy of the People*at the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to a number of other productions.

Gabriela has also worked for many years for the TV channel TV Globo in Brazil, where she has worked on *The Voice Brazil*, among other projects. In addition to working as a set designer, she currently leads the project “Stemmene” (Voices), an art and theater workshop for immigrant women in Kristiansand; she is a board member of the Friends Kilden Applaus Kilden and a council member of the Council for Equality, Inclusion, and Diversity in Agder County.

Gabriela is currently working on the set and costume design for the production ORD by Maritea Dæhlin.
