Hamza Kader

Hamza Kader is back in his hometown after five years in Oslo. He is a director, screenwriter, and actor, and has won awards for his short film *Why Are You Black?*. Many may recognize him as Liiban from the NRK series *22 July*. For that role, he was nominated for a Gullruten Award in the Best Supporting Actor category in 2020. He has also appeared in several short films, including Limbo, 21 Days , and Angst, all of which are set to be released in 2022. In 2021, Kader appeared in It Is Better to Light a Candle Than to Curse the Darkness and The Refugee Monologues at the Nordic Black Theatre.

As a filmmaker, he typically explores themes related to identity, ethnicity, and belonging. In his free time, Kader enjoys taking photos with his analog camera.

In the spring of 2022, he will appear as an actor in the play *Heimanifrå – på høge hæle* at Junaiten, presented by Kilden .
