Julie Rasmussen

Julie Rasmussen is from Kristiansand and has studied at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen and the Amsterdam School of the Arts.
Julie works as a choreographer and dancer. She has choreographed productions such as UMWELT, Someone is watching, and Unicorn in Public Spaces, and has danced for choreographers including Fildworks (NO/BE), MYKA (DK), the Hofesh Schechter Company (UK), Stian Danielsen (NO), and AmazING Production (NO/IT) and Kristiansand Royal Theater (NO), and has performed on stages such as La Scala (IT), Dansens Hus (NO), and Dansehallerne (DK).
Julie is also one of the artists and founders behind Ravnedans, a contemporary dance festival in Kristiansand, and NORDLYS, a Nordic collective that has performed in Denmark, the Philippines, and Norway.
Spring 2022 and the production *Heimanifrå – på høge hæle i Junaiten* mark Julie’s fourth visit to Kilden , but her first as a choreographer. Previously, she has danced in the productions *Kristiansand.Nå*, *Per Gynt*, *Thinking and...*, and *Fractures*. The latter two were produced by the dance collective KOLLEKTIV K, of which Julie was both an instructor and a member.
