Marie Nikazm

Marie NikazmBakkenis a director who graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (formerly DI) in 2017. She has also studied at the School of Contemporary Dance and Theater Studies at the University of Oslo.

Since 2018, she has served as artistic director at Turteatern in Stockholm, where she has directed a number of plays, includingthe serial theater production *The Ring of the Nibelung 2.0*—a 15-episode series based on Richard Wagner’s libretto, Och Helvetet är bara en bastuby Katja Brünner, and last fall,Utvandrarna1.0by Vilhelm Moberg. She works both in the independent theater scene and within institutions.  

In the spring of 2026, she will make her debut at Kilden , directing *The First Ladies* by Werner Schwab.
