Mine Nilay Yalcin

Director

Mine Nilay Yalcin is a Norwegian/Turkish director based in Oslo. She trained as an actress at Nordic Black Xpress theater school and has been working as a director since 2006.

Mine’s work focuses on political and multicultural theater. In recent years, she has worked primarily with street theater and outreach theater. This year, Mine earned her master’s degree in theater from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts with her master’s thesis performance Sirkus Grønland, a specialization in directing and street theater. In 2018, she created the street performance Asfaltpuls – paranoia like hell at sunset by M.H. Hallum, and has previously directed CULPA! in a state of emergency by Taro Vestøl Cooper at Kilden .
