Nicholas Lester
Nicholas Lester studied at the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music and at the London''s National Opera Studio. He was also part of the program for young singers at the State Opera of South Australia.
Recent and upcoming projects include the title role in Orphée, Marcello in La Bohème , and Cascada in The Merry Widow (English National Opera), Ford in Falstaff and Lescaut in Manon Lescaut (Grange Festival), Zhou Enlai in Nixon in China, Josef K in Philip Glass’ The Trial, Germano in La Scala di Seta, Dr. Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Ping in Turandot (Scottish Opera), Daddy Bear in Goldilocks and The Three Little Pigs (The Opera Story), Marcello (New Zealand Opera, English Touring Opera, Iford, and Dublin), the title role in Eugene Onegin and Figaro in The Barber of Seville (Welsh National Opera), Onegin and Belcore in The Elixir of Love (West Green House Opera), Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Figaro and Frédéric in Lakmé (Opera Holland Park), Valentin in Faust (Dorset Opera), Guglielmo (Danish National Opera), and Escamillo in Carmen (Mid Wales Opera).
