Sigve Astrup Lien

Theatrical carpenter

Sigve Astrup Lien is from Bjerkreim and graduated with a degree in industrial design from NTNU in Trondheim in 2019.

Since 2020, Sigve has worked as a theater carpenter in the set workshop at Kilden and has helped build sets for *Susie Wang: Licht und Liebe*, *A Christmas Carol*, *The Cherry Orchard*, *Erasmus Montanus*, *In the South They Have the Sea*, *Amadeus*, *Scheherazade*, *Heimanifrå*, *Spor 2022*, and *Rosmersholm*. 

In 2021, Sigve made his acting debut in *The Cherry Orchard*. Unfortunately, the production had to be postponed shortly after its premiere due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the play will be staged again in 2022.

In addition to stage sets, Sigve has also built two large TV stands that are used for various events atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre, and he has helped plan and oversee the construction of Kilden’s outdoor seating area.

Otherwise, Sigve is active alongside his stage crew colleagues in their various hobby projects; among other things, they’ve built a bicycle with a huge mechanical horse attached to it, which they’ve ridden around Kristiansand and taken to the Fjord Oslo light festival.

In addition to his Kilden projects, Sigve is heavily involved in art, applied arts, design, and production techniques, and occasionally takes on commissions through his own product design firm.
