Ulla Marie Broch

Actor

Ulla Marie Broch isfrom Oslo; she trained at the Nordic Theatre School in Aarhus and completed a postgraduate program at The Arts Educational Drama School in London.

Since 1996, she has worked as a freelancer and has an extensive portfolio spanning theater, radio, television, film, and audiobooks. She has performed at most of the country’s theaters, including the National Theater, Rogaland Theater, Hålogaland Theater, Riksteatret, Beaivvas Sami Theater, and others. In addition to this, she has worked with independent theater groups, and since 2006 she has toured the world in several productions with, among others, the Jo Strømgren Company, where she is currently performing in*The Kitchen*. Ulla has worked in most genres, such as Linn Fylke inHotel Cæsar, Mephistopheles inDr. Faustus, Grandmother inGeorg’s Magic Medicine, Penelope and others inThe Odyssey. Some may also know her as Lucy inChristmas in Svingen. In the winter of 2024, she appeared in Rain Man at Christiania Teater.

She has also been a member of the Balkan-inspired glamslam band Fluffers, where she sang and played the melodica, cello, and coconuts.

Ulla works at SKUDA.

Since 2019, Ulla has appeared in a number of Kilden : Jonas, Mysteries, A Christmas Tale, Heimanifrå – in High Heels in June, Rosmersholm, The Cherry Orchard, Unity Sought, The Idiot, Woyzeck,Amadeus, and Oedipus/Antigone, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Ugly Duckling, and The Snow Sister. In 2026, she will appear in The First Ladies.
