Veronica B. Vallenes studied at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, in the Department of Costume and Fashion Design. In 2004, she moved to Copenhagen and launched her own clothing brand, which she built into a successful label with sales in France, Japan, England, Spain, Amsterdam, Brussels, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, and Norway, among other places. She has won six design awards over the years, including the Max Factor New Talent Award, Danish Design Talent of the Year, and the Norwegian design award Nåløyet, as well as Marketer of the Year in Vest-Agder.
She has been awarded a free booth at Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Paris, and Milan as a “Talent to Watch,” and has held 18 different shows during Fashion Weeks over the years, including at the official Los Angeles Fashion Week in October 2018, Copenhagen City Hall, Fredriksborg Castle, Hotel D’Angleterre, Hotel Nimb, the National Museum in Oslo, and the Royal Opera House in Oslo, to name a few, and has held a show featuring art-inspired clothing at the Sørlandet Art Museum. The brand has gained international recognition with regular features in leading magazines such as Vogue, The New York Times, Style.com, Wallpaper, Dazed & Confused, L’Officiel, as well as most Scandinavian magazines and newspapers.
Veronica also works as a costume designer, and for Kilden she has designed costumes for Anne, Villskudd and now Gengangere. She has also done costume design for the productions Your Blue Ocean at Aquarama, Silence of Leaving, Not Just An Angel, I Love You Fred all by Loop By Laura and Navigare by Knut Østrådal. She has lent her collection to the film Jag Etter Vind by Runar Langlo. She also works as a costume coordinator at Kilden and served as acting head of the costume department from 2020 to 2022.
