We are introduced to what is perhaps classical music's most iconic and well-known work: Bólero by Maurice Ravel. Violin star Ludvig Gudim returns to Kilden after his brilliant performance of Mendelssohn's violin concerto in the fall of 2019!

Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 was officially a response to justified criticism, but was filled with irony and hidden messages.

We meet our 1st guest conductor Julian Rachlin as soloist in Igor Stravinsky's spiritual and playful violin concerto, inspired by the Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach. You can also look forward to Felix Mendelssohn's finest orchestral work.

On this all-British evening, Leif Ove Andsnes, our internationally acclaimed internationally acclaimed piano star, Leif Ove Andsnes performs Benjamin Britten's virtuoso, melodious and accessible piano concerto, which was a great success when the 25-year-old composer himself premiered it in 1938.
