Three works, three styles – A spectacular experience as the National Ballet presents “Mesteraften,” with live music performed by the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra!
When the Norwegian National Ballet heads south, it brings a full-length performance packed with dazzling stage sets, powerful modern dance, and the most iconic moments in ballet history. We will experience three key works from the Norwegian National Ballet’s repertoire. The program opens with Diamonds from Balanchine’s Jewels, set to excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 3. This is followed by A Boléro, where Ravel’s iconic music meets Samantha Lynch’s choreography. The evening concludes with the atmospheric second act of Swan Lake, in Natalia Makarova’s classic version after Petipa and Ivanov.
The production is a collaboration between the Norwegian National Ballet, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and Kilden .
