This evening, the National Ballet takes the stage at Kilden the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra
and conductor Øyvind Bjorå, who is also concertmaster of the Opera Orchestra.
We will experience three major ballet works.
The program opens with Diamonds from Balanchine’s Jewels, set to excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 3.
This is followed by A Boléro, where Ravel’s iconic music meets Samantha Lynch’s new choreography.
The evening concludes with the atmospheric second act of Swan Lake, in Natalia Makarova’s classic version after Petipa and Ivanov.

The production is a collaboration between the Norwegian National Ballet, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and Kilden .
