Five additional performances of “…like to Bethlehem”

show poster

“Ata time when we know audiences are buying tickets later than in previous years, it’s very gratifying that we’re almost sold out already in October. That says a lot about the appeal this performance has, says Janneke Aulie, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kilden performing arts centre.

When the show was first announced, 18 performances were scheduled for the period from November 24 to December 17. By mid-October, more than 80 percent of the available tickets had already sold out. As a result, five additional performances have now been added to the run. Aulie is confident that these tickets will also sell out.

High demand

We’ve received a lot of requests from people asking for additional performances, so I’m pretty sure a lot of people will be happy now, Aulie says with a smile.

The new “...like to Bethlehem” datesare as follows:
December 11 (5:30 p.m.),
December 14 (5:30 p.m.),
December 17 (2:00 p.m.),
December 18 (5:30 p.m.)
December 20 (5:30 p.m.).

A crowd favorite since 1985

For 37 years, Asbjørn Arntsen’s Christmas musical“…like til Betlehem”has been performed on various stages in Kristiansand and throughout Norway. “…like til Betlehem”began as a simple Christmas celebration at Lovisenlund School in 1985 and has evolved into a full-length musical production that has become a crowd favorite. When the show is staged at Kilden, it is a co-production between Kilden and the Like til Betlehem Foundation. It features child actors, teenage actors, soloists, professional singers and dancers, and beautiful music that together create a wonderful pre-Christmas experience for the whole family.
