Ready for the DUS Digital Festival
Ready for the DUS Digital Festival
This weekend, the public can see five different youth groups sharing their contributions. This year's participants are Kristiansand Children's and youth theater, Ungdomskilden, Munin Rosegården Youth Theatre, Vågsbygd upper secondary school and Knuden - Kristiansand Cultural School.
Producer Christine Helland praises the young people, who have prepared their contributions under extremely demanding conditions.
Working hard
- "Everyone has worked very hard, and even though we can't have an audience in the auditorium, the young people are very interested in showing their productions. In fact, one of the groups has hardly met each other physically, but practiced on Zoom. This performance will also be shown on Zoomand I'm very excited about what we'll experience this weekend," says Helland.
The regional edition of DUS is a collaboration between Kilden Teater and The Norwegian Theatre and is part of a nationwide project that works to raise the level of youth theater in Norway.. The concept is that young people between the ages of 13 and 19 create performances based on newly written texts and concepts. Festivals are organized in all participating regions, culminating in a nationwide festivalwith one contribution from each region, at The Norwegian Theatre in Oslo most likely after the summer.
Here are this weekend's performances:
