Upcoming concerts now on sale

Smiling man

At its concerts on Thursday, February 11, and Friday, February 12, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra will present a true audience favorite in pianist Håvard Gimse (pictured).

Tickets are now available for the upcoming concerts in February and March. Due to limited capacity, there will be several double concerts in the future.

Patient audience

- We are delighted to be able to present such a great program in the weeks ahead. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the audience for being patient with us at a time that is challenging in so many ways. Together with the conductors and soloists, the orchestra has a great desire to create fine musical experiences for the audience in the period ahead," says orchestra director Geir Rebbestad.

The great masters

There will be music by the great masters in the coming weeks. As early as February 11 and 12, Beethoven's Emperor Concerto will be performed. On February 18, audiences can look forward to magnificent works by both Mozart and Sibelius, with conductor Eivind Aadland and soloist Simon Breyer on horn. Depending on corona rules, Julian Rachlin will be back in Kristiansand on March 3 and 4 as both conductor and soloist in the concert "Rachlin, Brahms and Mozart", before March 11 is ready for "Young Classical 2021", conducted by Cathrine Winnes.
