Licht und Liebe Goes Global

The critically acclaimed production will be performed outside Norway for the first time this summer. The show will premiere at the “Internationales Sommerfestival 2021” at Kampnagel on August 5 and will be performed five times over the following three days.

And it’s not just any venue that the performing arts company visits. Since 1982, this world-renowned theater has established itself as Germany’s largest independent production house for the performing arts.

– High recognition

“It’s a great honor that the production will be performed at the ‘Internationales Sommerfestival.’ Susie Wang has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting performing arts groups in Europe, as evidenced by this guest performance in Hamburg. It is also a recognition for Kilden that we collaborate with such talented artists,” says theater director Valborg Frøysnes.

Nominated for the Ibsen Award

Licht und Liebe premiered atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre on Octoberperforming arts centre , 2020, and is a co-production between Susie Wang and Kilden . Dagsavisen summarized the performance as follows:“Licht und Liebe is a world premiere from one of Norway’s most style-conscious theater companies, which extensively combines the familiar with the eerie and beauty with the shameful and repulsive.”

Trine Falch was nominated for the 2021 National Ibsen Award for her play *Licht und Liebe*. The production will be staged at the National Theater in Oslo this fall.
