Nominated for the Ibsen Prize
Trine Falch is nominated for the prestigious Ibsen Award for the production Susie Wang: Licht Und Liebe.
The production had its world premiere atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre October 2020 and is a co-production between Kilden and Susie Wang.
According to the jury, the performance is "... an interplay and a game between language, space and the theater's other effects".
- Highly deserved
Theatre Manager at Kilden Teater, Valborg Frøysnes, is excited about the nomination:
- The nomination is very gratifying and highly deserved! Susie Wang is one of our foremost performing arts groups. The jury's reasoning is well founded and shows that they have really understood the quality, complexity and many layers of the text, which at first glance may seem simple. It is a mixture of the popular, cinematic, trashy, poetic and absurd. It is both low-key and loud at the same time.
- The fact that they use different languages - German, English and Tigrinya - and the way they use them, also makes the text very special. " Kilden wholeheartedly congratulates Susie Wang! It was a great pleasure to work with her," says Frøysnes.
