BRUSHED MY TEETH EXTRA WELL
- I've seen Karius and Baktus here, so I brushed my teeth extra well when I got home. But it's really nice that mum and dad
But it's really nice that mum and dad can come here on their own, because then grandma and grandpa look after us and we get to stay up late," says nine-year-old Tobias Greibrokk.

Today the family has been out celebrating the 40th birthday of mom, Kira Greibrokk. She says that they would like to be here more often, but that time is not always enough.

- Maybe a couple of times a year, but it's a fantastic place. We used to have our boat moored nearby, and we always used to swing by to have a look," says the fresh-faced 40-year-old.

Her husband says that he is particularly fond of seeing musicals in Kilden.

- "We saw 'Les Miserables', for example, and that's extra fun when you already know the songs. There's something about the whole setting, both what's happening on stage and the music, that makes for a good overall experience," says Eivind Greibrokk.

KILDEN HOLDS EVERYTHING WE NEED

- I've grown so fond of Kilden, and I can hardly believe we managed without it," smiles Mari Nøkleby.

We meet her in the restaurant in Kilden, where she is enjoying herself with several friends. She has a chicken pie on her plate and a glass of white wine has been poured.

- It's not every time we eat in the restaurant first, but at least we have a glass of white wine in the bar. We think it's nice to make a little more of it when we first go to a show.

The friends always check out the program as soon as it's ready and agree on what to buy tickets for. Half the fun is looking forward to it, they think.

- We laughed out loud when we read about "The Halibut Prince", so we quickly decided on it. But I also see a lot of other things down here, and I guess I visit Kilden once or twice a month.
At times, I also tend to have a subscription to Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra concerts. It's a good place, and I think Kilden has everything we need," concludes the 68-year-old.

I AM ALWAYS SATISFIED WHEN I LEAVE KILDEN

- I love theater with a bit of a twist, but I also enjoy listening to classical music. I also sing in Sølvstrupene, which rehearses here once a week, so Kilden means a lot to me," says Ann-Elise Robertsen.

Today she's going to "Kveiteprinsen" with several friends. But Ann-Elise has another friend who is blind, which has led to some extraordinary Kilden.

- Since my friend doesn't see what's happening on stage, she naturally prefers concerts. That's why we've been to many concerts together. Some of them I've thought wouldn't interest me, but they've given me a lot anyway.

Ann-Elise is now keen not to be biased, but rather to open up to new experiences.

- It's all about absorbing the impressions. Even though I may have been a little skeptical initially, I always go home from Kilden so happy and satisfied.

I THINK KRISTIANSAND DESERVES THIS

- Finally, I was able to catch a show when I went to visit my son in Kristiansand," says Asbjørn Sørensen, who lives in Moss.

This is the 70-year-old's first time attending a performance at Kilden, but he did stop by the last time he was in the southern town.

- Then I got to look into several of the halls. It's great architecture and a dense and varied program, and it impresses me. But really, I think Kristiansand deserves this much.

His son, Øystein Sørensen, agrees, even though he's not here very often.

- Now it was a good time to come here with my father, who probably goes to the theater more often than I do," admits Øystein.

- Yes, I love it, and this weekend I'm going to an outdoor opera in Halden. I always read up on the plot beforehand, because opera in particular can be a bit difficult to follow. So when the performance starts, I can just sit back and enjoy the facial expressions and the music, without having to concentrate on following the text. It's actually a good tip," he concludes.

DANCED WITH ANGELIQUE KIDJO

- I've just handed in my master's degree, and now I'm enjoying the last few weeks in Kristiansand before moving home to Sandnes," says Hannah Halvorsen, happy to share her greatest experience from Kilden:

- We were at a concert with the African singer Angelique Kidjo, and when she was about to perform the last song, she invited the audience up on stage to dance with her. We were some friends who took her at her word, and it was great fun. I will never forget it.

Hannah thinks Kilden is the perfect escape from demanding studies and would like to recommend it to fellow students.

- We even get a student discount," she laughs and continues:

- I like the cultural experience I get here, and it does something to you as a person. It's much more vibrant than watching a movie on TV or in a dark theater. It's also nice to see people, and it's nice to dress up and get ready for something you know will be a great experience," concludes the 24-year-old.
