Julia Herskovits

Julia Herskovits isa set and costume designer who graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (formerly DI) in 2019. She has also studied at The Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. 

Julia works both in the independent theater scene and within established institutions. She has worked at, among others, Turteatern in Stockholm, Stockholm City Theater, and Östgötateatern. She collaborates regularly with Marie Nikazm Bakken, and together they have stagedthe serial theater production *Nibelungens Ring 2.0*—a15-episodeserial theater series based on Richard Wagner’s libretto, Och Helvetet är bara en bastuby Katja Brünner, and last fall,Utvandrarna 1.0by Vilhelm Moberg.  

In the spring of 2026, she will make her debut at Kilden as the set and costume designer for*The First Ladies*by Werner Schwab.
