Synne Reichelt Føreland

Synne Reichelt Føreland is from Kristiansand. She graduated from Esmod Design School and holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the University of Agder.

Since 2014, she has been working as a freelancer based in Oslo. Among other projects, she has contributed to*Gjesmearkivet*, directed by Miriam Prestøy Lie, and serves as the regular costume designer for the performance trio DJ Grovi. She has also worked as a set costume designer on a number of Norwegian and international feature films, including*The Pyromaniac*by Erik Skjoldbjærg,*The Snowman* byTomas Alfredson, and*Utøya 22 July*by Erik Poppe.

In the spring of 2022, Reichelt Føreland served as costume designer for *Rosmersholm* at Kilden , earning her a Hedda Award nomination for Best Costume Design. In the fall of 2022, she designed the costumes for the production Samhold Søkes at Kilden , and in the fall of 2024, she returned to design the costumes for A Christmas Carol. In 2025, she is once again featured at Kilden, this time designing the costumes for Ibsen’s Ghosts.
