Missed call by Nora Dåsnes

To the Youth.
Just under a month after the July 22 terrorist attacks, Rebekka is set to start high school. She didn’t know any of the victims, and thinks she should be able to get back to her normal life. She tries to get involved in the school revue, in Daniel with the curly hair, in parties and school and friends. The only problem is that she thinks about it all the time.

“Unanswered Call” is about searching for meaning in the face of the meaningless. About how difficult it can be to reach out to one another, and how important it is when we manage to do so. The play is also a story about enduring friendship, and about the fact that there are ways back!

When the National Theater adapts Nora Dåsnes’ award-winning graphic novel *15 Years After July 22*, the goal is to give young people hope and help them understand their own anxiety in the face of a troubled world.

Maja Christensen, from NRK’s hit youth series “Rådebank,” plays the lead role. The people around her are played by Amina Mohamud, Jawad Aziz, Arjan Nilsen, and Christina Sleipnes.
