NEGATIVE NILS is a heartwarming and humorous play about feeling left out and about overcoming your own fears to be there for others.
Nils is a worried little guy who is terrified of high speeds, gluten, and germs. On top of that, he’s an expert at negative thinking and always imagines the worst-case scenario. When his bubbly and carefree classmate Janne Marianne invites the whole class to a birthday party, Nils is the only one who shows up.
Nils’s anxiety, insecurity, and all his allergies constantly get in the way of the fun, and the birthday party doesn’t turn out at all the way Janne Marianne had imagined.
Even though negative Nils and positive Janne Marianne are so different, they might have more in common than they think—and maybe they can learn something from each other’s differences? And maybe Nils isn’t quite as allergic to dust and gluten after all?
