- This is a nomination that means a lot to Kilden Theatre because so much work and fantastic craftsmanship has been put into the production, says a proud theater manager at Kilden Theatre, Valborg Frøysnes.

- The nominees are Norun Standal for scenography and lighting design and Synne Reichelt Føreland for costume design. "At the same time, it's a great recognition of the talented people we have at the house, both in the workshop, painting room, costume department, lighting, stage and sound. Many people have worked together to realize the ideas and vision the artistic team had for our Rosmersholm. I would like to congratulate everyone," she says.

THE GOLDEN AGE OF NORWEGIAN ACTING

Due to Covid, the Hedda Prize 2022 extends over two years with performances in a challenging period for Norwegian theater life, but with a lot of quality on the various stages.

- In the performing arts in general, the last two years have confirmed a feeling that we are in a small golden age for Norwegian acting," says Andreas Wiese, spokesperson for the jury.

- "In these two unusual seasons, we've seen strong performances from both independent groups and institutional theaters. We're also seeing more and more collaborative productions between independent groups and institutional theaters," he says.

The Hedda Award 2022 will be presented at The Norwegian Theatre on June 19.
